Southern Cross Gold owns and has rights over significant gold tenements that constitute three of the nine historic epizonal goldfields in the Melbourne Zone of Victoria totalling 471km2.
A total of #$6 million has been spent on exploration at its Victorian assets since March 2020 [including significant drilling at the Sunday Creek project and early-stage drilling at the Redcastle and Whroo JV projects.
In Queensland, the Company has staked five exploration prospecting licences (“EPMs”) for 785km2 of granted exploration licences in the Cloncurry district of Mt Isa, over a combined 60 kilometres of strike.
Southern Cross Gold also owns a strategic 10% position in ASX listed Nagambie Resources Ltd, its JV partner in the Redcastle and Whroo projects, offering further value to the Company through potential appreciation of value in Nagambie shares as well as through a linked Right of First Refusal over a large 3,300 km2 tenement package held by Nagambie.
The team at Southern Cross Gold are proven gold discoverers having drilled over 90,000m in Finland and Victoria over the last three years. Having build their Finnish project to in excess of 1Moz AuEq members of the board and management know how to build Southern Cross Gold into the next great Australian success story.
The Company has already built strong relations with the local communities around its projects and the Taungurung Land & Waters Council, traditional owners of the lands on which the Company operates in Victoria.
